Talking about Tigers

Image
We have been learning a lot about tigers through books, articles, movies, and even documentaries among others. However, have you ever thought that there are several things about our own tiger which we have talked about? Yes, we know about their several breeds, species, characteristic features, and conduct patterns among others. However, there are few basic curiosities about the tigers that excite people. Tigers have been gaining popularity due to their distinguished behavior and the conservation of them has been a priority by the Government of India. Wildlife sanctuaries and parks have been motivating many tourists and animal lovers for a jungle safari.  White tigers create excitement among the people. The special mention of a white tiger in the parks has been creating waves among tourists. White tigers don’t have any illnesses or disorders.

Image

Are you ready for October Jungle Safari?

Image
Monsoon season is on the verge of ending for this year. It’s another wait for months till we welcome the showery blessings from the sky again. The monsoon is indeed a blessing for Tadoba and the natural habitat living in the jungle. After receiving a good amount of rainfall this year, the area is covered by layers of lush green leaves, trees, shrubs, and bamboos and this has made Tadoba Andhari National Park a complete nature’s paradise.  The list of reasons that make Tadoba worth a visit are not less. Tadoba is a place where nature and wildlife nurture each other with the best. Just after the monsoon season, the Tadoba Lake, Kolsa Lake, and Tadoba River get filled with water that helps the habitat of jungle survive till the summer strikes in.  One of the exciting advantages of visiting Tadoba includes the opportunity to see the Bengal Tigers in their fierce and wild avatar.  Ideally, Winter is a good time to visit Tadoba National Park and Bird Sanctuary. As Oc...

Image

Trip to National park

Image
National park and wildlife sanctuary are one of our favorite picnic spots since childhood. Children are attracted to these animals through their stories. Children always have excitement about knowing them and understanding them. They create stories around them and enact them in plays and dance competitions. Our country has also been making efforts to save wildlife through national parks and wildlife sanctuaries. Most of the cities of India have their national park which has been preserved for a better ecosystem. Apart from saving animals, even the flora and nature remain conserved in the right environment. Nowadays, we have several animal safaris which are an adventure in itself. Although national parks and zoos have a variety of animals, safaris provide you amazement of animals in the jeep. Based near Tadoba Andhari Tiger Reserve (TATR) , Jharana Jungle Lodge organizes safaris to TATR. You can not only enjoy the safaris but also indulge in the interesting activities happening ...

A surprise visitor at Tadoba creates excitement among tourists

Image
You always feel delighted and happy when you have guests around. The same eagerness was shared by authorities and tourists at Tadoba Andhari Reserve. Recently, a black panther was spotted at the jungle and everyone is amazed. Although Tadoba Andhari Reserve is known for its tiger population, the new entrant certainly made news that spread like a wildfire. Black Panther is a member of a big cat family and not a separate species. However, they are a melanistic color variant representing the cat family. The higher amount of pigmentation makes the big cat appear black. Black Panther is rare as the cubs are born out of gene mutation. The Black Panther has found its way in literature as well. Bagheera, the Black Panther serves as friend, protector, and mentor to ‘Mowgli’ in Jungle Book series. The other members of the cat family are lions, tigers, jaguar and leopard among others. Cheetah and cougar form a different species. Generally, leopards and jaguars are melanistic versions of...
