Digital safaris-answer to empty sanctuaries!

Nothing is impossible in this digital world has been proven again! The virtual safari started by Tadoba Andhari Tiger Reserve (TATR) has been receiving great response by internet users. Around six lakh tourists watched the Tadoba Jungle safari seating at home. The forest minister of the state has praised authorities of TATR. Currently, the situation is grim as the whole world has been facing the pandemic and tourism industry has been affected a lot.

Although we can see that people are taking efforts by showing their fighting spirits towards the disease. Understanding the present condition of tourism industry, Tadoba Andhari Tiger Reserve came up with the unique idea of jungle safari that can be viewed online. This is the first-ever undertaking in India by TATR in the lockdown. The idea behind was to provide an entertainment and travel experience seating at home. Watching a live tiger is not possible; however, your home screens can give you that pleasure. This concept was first started by initiated by Kruger National Park in Africa and was later adopted by others.

Apart from the safari, TATR also thought about many people who are associated with tourism industry. The people dependent on this industry find difficult to survive in this lockdown with no tourists. Apart from online safari, TATR also ensures that the safari drivers and other villagers near the jungle have been provided with necessities for living. The safaris are proving beneficial to supplement the jungle trips. Although many places have been affected due to the pandemic, the animals in the green cover are safe while waiting for your arrival after the lockdown.
